I actually did this sketch just for fun (I know, I have a strange idea of what fun is). Turned out better than I thought, so I thought I would share it for all you sci fi fans.

These ships are from many different shows. "c" stands for the speed of light. As it is also used in a familiar equation E=MC^2 (Energy equals mass times the speed of light squared)

Note: These are cruising speeds for the ships. Not how fast they go at their emergency speeds. So the ship in the original Star Trek ship goes a max of Warp 6 safely or 216 times the speed of light.

Yes, there is other Star Wars books that state that the Millennium Falcon is 4 times faster than a Star Destroyer (which clearly crosses thousands of lightyears in under a days time). That is one fast ship.
